We call this Cuban Cool-aid because it goes down so deliciously and guests ask for a refill, and another...then are looking for a flat surface to lie down on. Mixing spirits, wines, champagne and sugar kick off the fireworks and could lead to unexpected to overnight guests! But 1/pp before your BBQ is a fantastic start to a meal- Go Tinam - delicious!

Another great Sangria recipe today - this one's going on the "weekend ingredients" list!

Looks good, I think I'll try it....
Hope I don't regret it in the morning LOL

I add a little triple sec if I have it around to compliment the fruit taste and also add fresh seedless grapes. They're fun to eat from the bottom of the glass and are 'drunk' if they sat in the spirits and sugar overnight. This can be made on the fly tho'-the overnight is a nice plus for a little deeper flavor, but the fruit may look a little ragged the next day after a good soak, so you can top it off (or strain and switch out) with fresh slices for appearance and garnish - good job 'tinam'! (Recycle those grapes tho-too delicious! Like little wine poppers)
