How to make it
- Coat “shrimp” in flour, then applesauce.
- Coat “shrimp” well in coconut, making sure to really pack it on there.
- Fry in oil over med-high heat until golden brown. If “shrimp” begin to burn, turn down heat.
- Drain on paper towels and salt lightly while still hot.
- Place each “shrimp” on a toothpick, arrange on platter, and serve.
