How to make it

  • Coat “shrimp” in flour, then applesauce.
  • Coat “shrimp” well in coconut, making sure to really pack it on there.
  • Fry in oil over med-high heat until golden brown. If “shrimp” begin to burn, turn down heat.
  • Drain on paper towels and salt lightly while still hot.
  • Place each “shrimp” on a toothpick, arrange on platter, and serve.

    I have seen those Vegan shrimp at a vegan market before and tried them they are wonderful.
