Ingredients
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar (more or less depending on sweetness desired)
  • 3 tablespoons freshly ground Turkish coffee

Directions
  1. Add water and sugar in the ibrik (jezva) and mix with a spoon. Put the ibrik (jezva) over very low heat and do not stir. Just as the water starts boiling, immediately remove the ibrik (jezva) from the heat. Add coffee. Gently divide the foam between 2 demitasse cups, then place the ibrik (jezva) back on the heat for a few seconds. Pour the coffee into the cups, carefully pouring it down the sides of the cups in order not to disturb the foam. The coffee grains will settle at the bottom of the cup.

I had a coffee grounds "reading" done with a friend of a friend. I really liked the results. I don't know if it was true, but I found it very complimentary!

I'm giving you a Five for adding a heaping tablespoon of FUN to your Turkish coffee recipe!

LOVELY! Thanks for posting this - can't wait to try it! It took 5 from me in a heartbeat.
