Fried Garlic Knots

- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 pkg yeast shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves; minced shopping list
- vegetable oil; as needed shopping list
- 1/4 cup olive oil shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves; peeled shopping list
- grated Parmesan cheese; as needed shopping list
How to make it
- Mix first 6 ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Knead with just enough warm water to form a nice dough.
- Form dough into small pretzel shapes or round balls, set aside in a warm place and allow them to rise for about 20 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry a few pieces at a time
- until golden.
- Drain knots on a paper-towel lined tray and repeat with the
- remaining pieces.
- In a blender, add 1/4 cup olive oil and 2 garlic cloves and process until smooth. Pour this mixture into a small bowl.
- Dip fried knots individually into the oil and garlic mixture and place on serving tray.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and serve.
