How to make it

  • In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  • Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, poppy seeds and salt.
  • Gradually add into the creamed mixture.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls.
  • Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Using end of wooden spoon handle, make indentation in center of each.
  • Bake at 375F degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Immediately make an indication in center again of each cookie.
  • Remove to wire racks to cool slightly.
  • Fill with melted dark chocolate, and let set.

    Love the sounds of this recipe! I use poppy seeds a lot, and adding them to the cookies with chocolate sounds decadent!
