this is a heart healthy crabcake that has almost no fillers!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup lo fat mayonnaise
  • 3egg whites
  • 1teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoond fresh dill
  • 1pound jumbo lump crabmeat
  • 1 cup japanese (Panko)breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 350
  2. mix ingredients together, exceptcrabmeat and crumbs
  3. mix thoroughly
  4. gently fold in crabmeat
  5. portion into 3 or 4 cakes,and cover both sides with breadcrumbs
  6. lightly saute until cakes are brown on both sides
  7. place in oven for 4 minutes
  8. serve with favorite slaw and tatar or whatever sauce you like,i also like a remoulade sauce with this
  9. this is a variation from a great chef!

Here is my Remoulade sauce, good stuff.
# Dressing
# • 1 cup mayonnaise (I only used 1/2 cup and it was just enough for these cakes)
# 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
# • 1 teaspoon horseradish sauce
# • 1 tablespoon ketchup
# • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
# • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
# • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (to taste)
# • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
# • 2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped (or green onion tops)
# • 1 tablespoon red onion, finely chopped
# • 1 tablespoon capers
# • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)
# • 3 tablespoons lime juice
# • salt (to taste)
# • pepper (to taste)

. Dressing: Combine all dressing ingredients in blender or food processor. Refrigerate until ready to use. There is a little heat in the sauce but it sure tasted good.


Wow! this sounds awesome!! Im going to try it over the weekend-thats my problem--see arecipe i like and have to try it --immediately!! thank you! I love new orleans,and been there a few times,=have commanders palace recipe -but this sounds better!! i also have a blender ceaser salad dressing with no eggs that is great- will post it soon-barb
