How to make it

  • Cream butter and shortening; add sugar and cream again.
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
  • Mix well, add milk and beat 2 minutes.
  • Stir in flavorings.
  • Pour into clay flower baking pot or a small loaf pan and bake 70 -75 minutes.
  • Grease and flour baking dish before pouring batter in.

    Yum, yum, and yum again! I lOVE lemon and I have heard great things about cooking with clay pots. My sister swears by here clay roasting pot with lid. Her chicken and vegies are always perfect when she uses hers. I am going to have to try this recipe right away!! Thanks :D
