English Lemon Pound Cake

- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 3 teaspoons lemon extract shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and shortening; add sugar and cream again.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
- Mix well, add milk and beat 2 minutes.
- Stir in flavorings.
- Pour into clay flower baking pot or a small loaf pan and bake 70 -75 minutes.
- Grease and flour baking dish before pouring batter in.
