These are great beans with a little sting. Goes great alongside brisket or ribs. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 pound dried pinto beans
  • 4 fresh jalapeno peppers finely diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 1/2 pound fresh salt pork
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Following directions on package bring beans to a boil then reduce heat and simmer.
  2. Add salt pork, cum, garlic powder and jalapenos.
  3. Finely dice onion and set aside then complete cooking beans.
  4. When beans are finished cooking add diced onions and Tabasco sauce and serve.
