Rosemary - Sage Roasted Chicken

- 1 large roasting chicken shopping list
- 2 bunches of rosemary shopping list
- 2 bunches of sage shopping list
- 5 garlic cloves, peeled shopping list
- 1 large lemon, cut in half shopping list
- salt freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 1 extra garlic clove shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- After rinsing and patting the chicken dry - rub the outside with the extra clove of garlic all over.
- Insert the five cloves of garlic among the rosemary and sage and lemon halves into the cavity of the chicken. Tie the legs together to keep these inside the chicken.
- Salt and pepper the skin of the chicken.
- Place on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- Roast 20 minutes per pound.
- Remove from the oven and cover with foil for about five minutes before cutting the chicken up to rest.
