Tomato Basil Soup

- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/4 cup onion, minced shopping list
- 1/4 cup tomato paste shopping list
- 1 quart chicken broth shopping list
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced shopping list
- 2 teaspoons dried basil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
How to make it
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook garlic and onion in oil until onion is translucent.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook until color becomes rusty.
- Pour in chicken broth and stir in tomatoes, basil, marjoram, oregano, thyme, wine and bay leaf.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
