How to make it

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat combine all ingredients.
  • Heat without stirring to 250 to 265 degrees F (121 to 129 degrees C) OR until a a small amount dropped in cold water forms a rigid ball.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool enough to be handled.
  • Pull taffy by stretching with hands, folding the candy over and repeating until taffy is white and porous.
  • Cut into 1" pieces with kitchen shears.
