Fortuna Okie Burger Stir-fry

- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice shopping list
- 1 1/2 - 2 lbs leanest ground beef shopping list
- 1 bottle of House of Tsang Classic stir-fry sauce or Indonesian Ketjup shopping list
- 1 carrot shredded shopping list
- 2 cups of shredded cabbage or 1 to 1 1/2 lbs fresh bean sprouts shopping list
- 1/2 large onion chopped shopping list
- oil for frying onions shopping list
- 1/4 tsp sesame seed oil (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- While rice is cooking (15 to 20 minutes), sitr fry onion until transparent
- Add ground beef
- Pour 1/2 to 1 whole bottle of House of Tsang sauce over the meat
- Brown meat
- Add carrots and cabbage or bean sprouts
- Cover and when veges are done it is ready to be served on rice
- EASY! EASY! EASY!
- Note: For those who cannot find Indonesian Ketjup or Tsang's sauce, here is a scratch sauce:
- 1/2 cup soy or tamari sauce
- 1/4 cup sake or other rice wine
- 3 tbl of mirin (rice vinegar)
- 1/4 sup sugar
- 1 inch grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 clove garlic minced
- Mix all ingredients except garlic and ginger
- Stir-fry garlic and ginger with onion before adding the meat
- Then add the other mixed ingredients
- Note: Cook sticky rice if you like eating with chopsticks (hashi) : )
