Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a mixer bowl beat the sugar and butter until fluffy.
  • Add the 2 eggs one at a time.
  • Add the pineapple and all the juice.
  • Add the flour and the soda. and mix well.
  • Add the 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  • Pour into a greased and lightly floured 9x13 glass baking dish.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes (Toothpick test for doneness).
  • Mix all ingredients for the frosting together.
  • Make sure the cake is completely cool before frosting it.
  • Enjoy!

    Make a cake just like this, but always knew it as "Preacher's Cake"...so glad to find it on here so I do not have to keep calling my mom for the recipe (keep forgetting to save it, lol)! Thanks for sharing! :)
