How to make it

  • Roast the green chiles and remove the skin.
  • For more information on How to Roast Chiles see below.
  • Chop the green chiles very fine.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork until almost smooth.
  • Fold in the remaining ingredients and the chiles into the mashed avocado.
  • Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or make your own.

  • Roasting note:
  • You can roast chiles under medium heat on the broiler, on a very hot grill, over open fire or on the stove top.
  • For the stove top method it is helpful to use a metal steaming basket placed over the open flame.
  • Place the chiles into the basket and keep the flame medium.
  • Time Required: 10-20 minutes
