Mad Scientist Pizza Burgers

My friend, sparow64 creates a lot of her recipes in "Mad Scientist" mode...That is exactly how I came up with these, thus the name...Thanks sparow!!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef shopping list
- 1 small onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 tsp. cornstarch shopping list
- 1-14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained shopping list
- 14 slices Velveeta shopping list
- 4 English muffins, split shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to broil
- In skillet, brown hamburger and onion until meat is no longer pink
- Sprinkle in cornstarch
- Stir in tomatoes
- Cook, uncovered until slightly thickened
- Add 6 slices of cheese and stir until cheese is melted
- Put buns on baking sheet and spoon hamburg mixture onto each muffin half
- Put remaining cheese over top of meat mixture
- Broil until cheese melts
