I was looking through the news paper the other day, silly me…I see why they don't use the slogan "All the news fit to print" if they did the news paper would be printed on a couple of sheets of typing paper. There was an article on the front page They used a 4" X 6" space with a continuation on page 9 of section A that is 1/3 of the page. Read more So front page news! What do you think it is about? The recession? Our hope that the Governor is going to Washington (Queen Sibelius gets to go to Washington to do a job that she is unqualified for.) nope not that. The war against Islamic Terrorists? No not that ether. What came out of the G20 meeting? The English reaction to our presidents greeting of their Queen? Our reaction to our President bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia? Local election concerns, crime? No not that ether. The title is "Local atheist group slowly evolving" Evidently there is a group in the county of 178,000 (about 80 members) that are heaving an outreach ministry for likeminded people. Is it a ministry if you don't believe? I don't know the answer to that as I don't know the answer to most things. So can you have fundamentalist atheists? Do we get to look forward to people knocking on the door asking you, "Do you not want to hear the word today? Well you are in luck, because there is no God!"" Do you have some time?" "We are in your neighborhood not spreading any word today." Or how about, "Hi we are here to tell you that this is as good as it gets!" "Well we believe in the 10 err… nope can't use that it came from that big book of fairy tales or well if you follow the law of three fold…nope won't work ether because if there is no God their can't be a Goddess ether". I think that "Pravda of the Plains" could have found a more interesting and relevant front page story. The paper wonders why their circulation is slipping. I could almost understand if it had been printed in the Religion section of the Sunday paper. Or would it be the non-religion section? But the front page? that seems a bit odd. What has this to do with food and recipes? Well I am glad that you asked. I look at eating as being almost a religious experience or perhaps, The phrase good food is like sex comes to mind, but I won't get into that at this point.
