Hamersleys Fenway Sausage With Onions Peppers And Garlic

- 4 Tbs olive oil shopping list
- 4 spicy italian sausage shopping list
- 1 med. onion,thinly sliced shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 2 red bell peppers,stemmed,seeded and cut in thin strips shopping list
- 2 yellow peppers,stemmed,seeded and cut in thin strips shopping list
- 4 garlic cloves,finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4c white wine shopping list
- 2 Tbs tomato paste shopping list
- 1/4 tsp fresh chopped thyme leaves shopping list
- 4 hot dog buns shopping list
- Dijon mustard shopping list
- grainy mustard shopping list
- Ball Park mustard shopping list
- ketchup shopping list
How to make it
- Heat 2 Tbs of olive oil in saute pan until moderately hot. Add sausages and cook slowly on top of stove,turning frequently until they are cooked through,about 8-10 mins. Remove from pan,reserve and keep warm. Add onion to pan and raise heat to med high. Add salt and pepper and cook,stirring every few minutes until onion is tender,about 5-7 mins. Add peppers and garlic. Stir to combine and continue cooking until peppers are tender but not falling apart,about 12 mins. add the white wine,tomato paste and thyme. Stir to combine and bring to simmer. Cook for 3 mins. Return sausages to pan and reheat about 3 mins. Split open four traditional Italian-style hot dog buns and fill them with sausages,peppers and onions. Serve with the mustards and ketchup.
