Ingredients

1 16-oz. package hot-roll mix

4 ozs. ham, thinly-sliced, cut into strips

4 ozs. pepperoni, thinly-sliced, cut into strips

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella, shredded

1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

1/3 cup green onion, thinly-sliced (Leave off if the kids don't like it.)

1/4 tsp pepper

Directions

Prepare hot-roll mix through the kneading step according to the basic recipe on package directions. Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.

For the filling, in a large bowl mix together the ham, pepperoni, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Monterey Jack cheese, green onion and pepper. Set aside.

Grease a large baking sheet. Set aside.

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a 12 X 9 inch rectangle. Spread the filling length-wise down the center of the rectangle in a 4-inch-wide strip. Fold long sides of the dough over the filling. Moisten the edges with water. Pinch to seal.

Place loaf seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. With a very sharp knife, cut 1 1/2 inch slits in the top for the steam to escape. Cover and let rise for 10 minutes.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes. Slice with a serrated knife into 8 pieces.
