Jello Jam Recipe
This is a very easy and flavorful jam to make with summer fruits. Mom got the recipe from a friend over 40 years ago.

Ingredients
  • 5 cups crushed fruit ; * see note
  • 2 cups crushed pineapple ; drained
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 6 oz Jello gelatin powder ; * see note
  • NOTES : *Use any fresh fruit you like, such as berries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, cherries. Choose a complimentary flavor of Jello to go with the fruit you use.

Directions
  1. Boil fruit, pineapple and sugar together for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add Jello, mix well.
  3. Ladle into prepared jars, filling to withing 1/8 inch from tops.
  4. Wipe jar rims and threads.
  5. Cover with two piece lids, screw bands tightly.
  6. Invert onto clean towel.
  7. After 5 minutes, turn upright and check for seals.
  8. Makes 12 half pints.

What a cool recipe idea! Hmmmmm...maybe mango jam! What flavor jello would go with that? Peach?

I wonder if watermelon jam would be good!
