How to make it

  • In a dry wok or flat skillet roast the white sesame seeds until they turn a golden brown and start to sputter and pop.
  • Then add the dried red chillies and asfotieda
  • Add the salt last when you are sure the mixture is cool to touch and then you grind in a dry grinder to a smooth powder.
  • Make sure to grind the salt with the ingredients so there are no lumps.

    you can reduce the red chillies to what ever level of heat you want, 4-5 is usually mild heat. 10-20 is hot heat.
