Dutch Oatmeal Cake

- 1 1/2 cups boiling water shopping list
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening{No substitutes} shopping list
- 1 cup firmly packed brown suar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups ll purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 ts[. slt shopping list
- 1/2 cup raisins shopping list
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter melted shopping list
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup flaked coconut shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- combine boiled oats and water stir well let cool
- cream shortening add sugar and beat well
- Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
- combined next 4 ingredients add creamed mixture
- beat well
- Stir in oats miture and raisins
- Pour into well greased and floured 13x9x2 pan
- combined remaining ingredients spoon over batter
- Bake 350-4o minutes {yeild 15-18 servings}
