Banana Cake

Had some bananas that were getting old and didn't wanit to make just a banana bread, so starting lookup cake receipes and made up my own
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound sweet butter (2 sticks) softened shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3-4 ripes bananas mashed shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (tbsp buttermilk and balance to 1/2 cup mix Southern Comfort or bourban) shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1tsp allspice shopping list
- 1/2 tsp giner shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts) shopping list
- 1-1/2 cup raisins shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Grease & flour 2 9" layer pans (I also lined bottom with parchment paper)
- Cream butter and sugar together till fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
- Add mashed bananas, mixing thoroughly
- Sift dry ingredients together and then stir into butter/egg mixture alternating with milk mixture
- Add vanilla and mix for 1 minute
- Add nuts and raisins to incorporate
- Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean from center of pans
- Cool in pans on rack for 10 minutes
- Unmold and cool for 2 hours
- Frost cake with your favorite white frosting,
