I could eat whipped cream cheese right out of the container. (Don't tell my kids that). Calcium-rich and it can be used in so many ways. I use instead of butter on many sandwiches. This is a sweet cheesecake -type brownie.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. (19.5 oz.) brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 3 egg whites, divided
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Whipped Cream Cheese room tem.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour

Directions
  1. PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix brownie mix, applesauce, 2 of the egg whites and water.
  3. Pour into 13x9-inch baking pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  4. MIX cream cheese, sugar, flour and remaining egg white until well blended. Spoon over brownie batter.
  5. Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect.
  6. BAKE 28 to 30 min. or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs attached.
  7. Cool in pan on wire rack.
  8. Let's eat!

Uh...em...er...*looks around*

Confession is good for the spirit... I DO eat whipped cream cheese right out of the tub... and not just any tub -- I'm talking Cosco size.

You're going to laugh, but I've never used a brownie mix, so there's some reworking that needs to be done here... perhaps I should go buy a box :-) as of late, chocolate has been on my mind more so than ever in my life -- such a problem! Seriously, I've got some chipotle raspberry sauce that I'm looking to combine with whipped cream cheese for the filling of chocolate chocolate chip muffins... still whirling the ingredients around in my head before I try the concoction. It's a shame -- I should be focusing on some other cooking projects that I have been remiss of my duty on.

At any rate -- high five!
