Pork Chop Bistek Tagalog Style Recipe
If you like Bistek tagalog, try this version using Pork Chops instead of beef.

Ingredients
  • 1 kilo Pork Chop sliced thick or thin
  • 2 to 3 pcs sliver of garlic crushed
  • 1 medium size red onion - chopped
  • 1 medium size white onion- chopped
  • 10 pcs. calamansi or
  • 2 Lemons
  • 3/4cups soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 T cooking oil
  • 1/4 C water

Directions
  1. Slice calamansi into two and squeeze to get the juice
  2. Combine the calamansi or lemon juice and the soy sauce (add more calamansi Juice if needed to give it a salty-sour taste)
  3. add salt and pepper to the marinde
  4. Marinade pork chops for 30 minutes
  5. Sauté garlic and onions set aside
  6. Fry pork chops in cooking oil until light brown
  7. Put pork back in the saucepan and add the marinade combination
  8. Add water
  9. Simmer until Pork is tender
  10. Remove from heat and add the onions
  11. Serve with fried rice or plain steam rice

I'm sorry. Calamansi is Philippine lemon. you can actually use lemons for the recipe.

Calamansi is Philippine lemon. You can actually used lemons for the recipe. maybe 1 or 2 since lemons are large compare to calamansi.
