Fontina Aparagus Bake

- Ingredients: shopping list
- butter, for greasing shopping list
- 2 and 1/4 lb asparagus, spears trimmed shopping list
- 2 cooked ham slices, cut into strips shopping list
- 4 oz Fontina cheese, sliced shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, freshly grated shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- Squares of toasted Italian bread - season with Italian herbs shopping list
How to make it
- Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350deg F
- Grease an ovenproof dish with butter. Line the sides with the flavored toasted bread squares.
- Cook the asparagus in salted, boiling water for 10 minutes.
- Drain and place in the prepared dish and top with the ham and fontina.
- Beat the eggs with the Parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper and pour over the asparagus.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the Parmesan has melted and the eggs have set.
- Let's Eat!

what a great idea! my family always served asparagus w/ hollandaise, which I don't care for much, so I usually just eat mine w/ salt & butter. This sounds quite worth a bit of extra effort.
