How to make it

  • Cream butter; add sugar gradually; cream until fluffy.
  • Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with milk.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Fold in egg whites.
  • Pour into 3 prepared layer pans. ( 8 or 9 inch)
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Filling:
  • Cook egg yolks, sugar and butter until thick; stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add raisins, nuts, coconut and vanilla.
  • Spread between layers and on top of cake.
