Cant Believe This Cherry Cheesecake Recipe
I like it when the recipe is very easy and when it is unusual. I have never seen this one before; I thought you might like it too.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. Pillsbury lemon cake mix
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Directions
  1. Generously grease and lightly flour a 10 inch tube pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine dry cake mix, water and eggs.
  3. Blend and beat as directed on package.
  4. Pour about half of batter into prepared pan.
  5. In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. Spoon over batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 or 55 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan 15 minutes do not invert.
  9. Remove from pan. Serve with cherry pie filling ontop.
  10. Store left overs in the refrigerator.

There seems to be some steps missing in the directions. Like what do you do with the remaining half of the batter, and what do you do with the cherries. Step 8 refers to remaining cherries.
