Brussels Sprouts With Bacon

- 24 ounces fresh Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved lengthwise shopping list
- 8 ounces bacon diced shopping list
- 1 granny smith apple diced shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves shopping list
How to make it
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Prepare an ice water bath and set aside.
- Add Brussels sprouts to boiling water and cook until color sets about six minutes.
- Transfer to ice bath until cool then drain well and set aside.
- Place bacon in a large skillet over medium heat and cook until fat renders and bacon is crisp.
- Add apples and cook stirring occasionally until apples are browned.
- Add Brussels sprouts and thyme then toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
