How to make it

  • Boil noodles til done and drain. While noodles are cooking melt butter in heavy sauce pan. Stir in flour til smooth, add milk, salt, pepper and garlic. Heat until it begins bubbling around the edges. Slowly stir in 1 lb shredded cheese. Stir over low heat til cheese is completely melted and sauce is smooth. Pour over noodles and mix well. Pour into buttered 11 by 15 inch pan or any baking pan that will hold it. Sprinkle the top with buttered cracker crumbs and remaining cheese. Bake about 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown. This is without a doubt the most delicious mac and cheese I have ever tasted. I like to serve a nice green salad with this meal.
