Cabbage Rolls

- 1 head cabbage cooked enough to soften the leaves shopping list
- 1 1.2 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 onion finely chopped shopping list
- 2 stalks celery finely chopped shopping list
- 3 cps cooked rice shopping list
- 3 qts chicken stock or bullion or shopping list
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes and a jar of V-8 shopping list
How to make it
- Par boil the cabbage so that you can peal the leaves off without breaking them. Brown the ground beef with the onions and celery. Season with salt and Pepper. Mix in The rice. Take a table spoon and put in center of cabbage leaf. Roll leaf up making a nice little bundle. Place in bottom of large heavy sauce pan. Continue to do this til all cabbage and filling is gone.
- Cover with chicken broth, bullion or use two cans of stewed tomatoes and one jar of V-8. It is delicious either way. Rolls should be covered with the liquid. Gently simmer about 2 2/3 hr.
