How to make it

  • 1. Preheat oven to 220ºC. Heat oil in a large flameproof, ovenproof casserole dish over high heat. Add chicken & cook until well browned on all sides.
  • 2. Add onion, garlic, potato, zucchini & carrot. Cook for 2 mins.
  • 3. In a jug or bowl, combine flour with stock until evenly mixed. Stir in tomato paste & herbs then pour over chicken. Bring to the boil, stirring regularly. Cover & bake, for 30 mins or until chicken is cooked through. Serve with rice, pasta or mash.

Actually Minkey it's spelt Dhobie the meaning is a little convoluted as it started 120 years ago in Mumbai at Dhobitalao which is now a lake - the soldiers used to have their clothing washed there - the term progressed through the ages (in the military) to become a meaning for a soldier having a bath/shower - after Vietnam Australian soldiers used the term Dhobie quite often for Shower/bath by shortening the word to dobe... hope that explains - still want one..? lol

Wondering now should I post this on your page or here...lol
