Chicken Popover Pie

- 4 lb. chicken [cut into 8 pcs. ] shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. paprika shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1tsp. celery seed shopping list
- 11/2 cup flour shopping list
- 11/2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1tsp. salt shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 11/2 cups milk shopping list
- 3 tbsp. melted butter shopping list
- 2 cans of chicken broth shopping list
How to make it
- Dredge chicken in flour, salt, and paprika mixture
- Brown in butter, setting skillet drippings aside
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt
- Blend in eggs, milk and melted butter
- Mix all ingredients, batter will be lumpy
- Pour batter into a grease 8 by 13 pan
- Arrange browned chicken in batter
- Sprinkle all over with celery seed
- Bake at 350 degrees for one hour
- SAUCE: Measure drippings from skillet. Add butter if needed to make 5 tbsp. Stir in 5 tbsp. flour , brown. Add 2 cans chicken broth. Mix and simmer for five minutes .Serve with chicken.
