Ingredients

How to make it

  • Dredge chicken in flour, salt, and paprika mixture
  • Brown in butter, setting skillet drippings aside
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt
  • Blend in eggs, milk and melted butter
  • Mix all ingredients, batter will be lumpy
  • Pour batter into a grease 8 by 13 pan
  • Arrange browned chicken in batter
  • Sprinkle all over with celery seed
  • Bake at 350 degrees for one hour
  • SAUCE: Measure drippings from skillet. Add butter if needed to make 5 tbsp. Stir in 5 tbsp. flour , brown. Add 2 cans chicken broth. Mix and simmer for five minutes .Serve with chicken.
  • Enjoy!!

    Oh, this sounds delicious! I love the gravy too! So you get your chicken, biscuits and gravy, all in one dish! I'll have to try this!
