I agree with another person..watch the salt. It's in too many items we use in recipes. Try it while eating it, if its needs a tad bit of salt, add it to your own plate.I don't have a box to compare at this time but check the soup as well..salt there I'm sure. Other then that, thank you for sharing the recipe!

Okay, this maybe a silly question but do you put anything over the chicken while its cooking in the crockpot? Or do you cook it dry? Thanks much.

Salt is an issue with my Family also. Me being an Herbalist I will replace Salt with Celery Seed and Parsley. I will send an update.

I have a similar recipe but use Italian dressing (dry) instead of the Ranch. I don't do the step with brushing the chicken with butter and just add cream cheese and cream of mushroom soup. Serve on noodles.

I made this the other night and it was wonderful not bland at all with the ranch dressing cooked over the chicken and the cream cheese in the sauce. I made it for a friend and she went home and made it a week later!

Absolutely wonderful. In fact, I'm having leftovers for lunch today. I got started late so I cooked it on high for 3 hours and it came out fine. The whole family liked it.
