I agree with another person..watch the salt. It's in too many items we use in recipes. Try it while eating it, if its needs a tad bit of salt, add it to your own plate.I don't have a box to compare at this time but check the soup as well..salt there I'm sure. Other then that, thank you for sharing the recipe!

Okay, this maybe a silly question but do you put anything over the chicken while its cooking in the crockpot? Or do you cook it dry? Thanks much.

Salt is an issue with my Family also. Me being an Herbalist I will replace Salt with Celery Seed and Parsley. I will send an update.

This is a great recipe during the holidays. Try this one and you'll see. This tastes great! serve it for yourself or for your love ones and I'm pretty sure they'll appreciate it. I made this one for my mom and she was so pleased and she did love the food. I saw another Ranch Chicken Recipe at www.foodiamond.com and I swear this one tastes great too.

I have a similar recipe but use Italian dressing (dry) instead of the Ranch. I don't do the step with brushing the chicken with butter and just add cream cheese and cream of mushroom soup. Serve on noodles.

I made this the other night and it was wonderful not bland at all with the ranch dressing cooked over the chicken and the cream cheese in the sauce. I made it for a friend and she went home and made it a week later!

This was a good base to start with- a bit bland for me, but I am going to play around with this, as I think most people tweak recipes to their own liking anyway. Very creamy and easy.

Very good, but the end product was EXTREMELY salty. I didn't use any extra salt at all, not even as listed at the beginning. I'll try to tweak it a bit next time and of course serving it over rice or cauliflower rice will also help cut down the salty taste.

Absolutely wonderful. In fact, I'm having leftovers for lunch today. I got started late so I cooked it on high for 3 hours and it came out fine. The whole family liked it.

I have 3 kids 14yr-11yr (very picky) and 7yr ( also very picky). My whole family loved this. I served it over white rice ( from the chinese restaurant..lol ) I don't really cook much, my husband does most of the cooking. This was soooo easy and tasty. Thank you soo much!!!!

Awesome! We had this for dinner tonight and everyone loved it! That is a rare occasion around here! Even my most picky child ate it. However I will say he still had to dip it in bbq sauce lol. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks!

OK, I tried it and I really like it. Only I like salt just as much as the next person, but do not brush the chicken with salt before cooking. Believe me, there will be quite enough in the dish from the Ranch Seasoning. One other thing I do is to add a T of red pepper flakes which really gives it a nice punch.
