Frosted Almond Scones

- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/3 cup jam or dried fruit of your choice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon pure almond extract shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 2 teaspoons white sugar shopping list
- Frosting: shopping list
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon milk (more if needed to thin) shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon pure almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter, milk, jam or dried fruit, and 1 teaspoon almond extract.
- Lightly knead dough on floured surface and pat into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle scones with mixture. Bake at 450 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes (do not over-bake).
- Combine frosting ingredients and frost scones while they are warm.
