Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Organic or home made Peanut Butter (I prefer chunky)
  • 1/4 to 1 Cup Honey (I don't like it too sweet)
  • 3 Cups Dry uncooked old-fashioned Oatmeal
  • Other ingredients to experiment with:
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Raisins
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Carob chips

Directions
  1. Combine Peanut Butter and Honey in large non-stick bowl or pot.
  2. If too stiff to mix, heat gently (low heat) on stovetop or microwave
  3. Add Oatmeal and any other ingredient that sounds good
  4. Continue to mix until all ingredients are well combined
  5. Press into 9 X 9 inch pan and refrigerate
  6. When chilled, cut into 16 bars
  7. Wrap individual bars in waxed paper and store in plastic bags
  8. Refrigeration is not required once the bars have been cut and wrapped

Thanks great and easy recipe! High 5 to you.

These sound delish! I love p'nut butter and honey together.

Thanks! I tried it last week with Steel Cut oats, and if you don't break a tooth, it adds a nice crunch to it. ;-}

These will be great for our biking trips. I do need a boost out there from time to time.

This looks really good. I think I'll make some later on today!
