How to make it

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 25 minutes. Drain, cool and chop.
  • In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, mayonnaise, sweet pickle, sliced eggs, relish, sugar, onion, mustard, vinegar, celery, parsley, pepper and salt. Mix well, chill and serve.

    Oh yeah, that is definitely the good "old fashioned" potato salad I love (gotta have some pickle relish in it!!)...you brought back so many memories for me with this - all the picnics we used to have when I was a kid, all the good cooks in my family bringing their "best" dish to pass, all the cousins to play with...now I'm homesick!
