Basil Grilled Chicken

- Ingredients: shopping list
- ¾ tsp. Coarsely ground pepper shopping list
- 4 chicken breast halves, skinned shopping list
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted shopping list
- ½ cup margarine or butter, melted shopping list
- ¼ cup chopped fresh basil shopping list
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh basil shopping list
- 1 Tbs. Grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- ¼ tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. pepper shopping list
- Fresh basil sprigs ( optional ) shopping list
How to make it
- 1 Gently press ¾ tsp. Pepper into the meaty sides of the chicken breast halves. Combine 1/3 cup melted margarine or butter and ¼ cup chopped basil; stir well. Brush chicken lightly with melted margarine or butter mixture.
- 2 Combine ½ cup softened margarine or butter, 2 Tbs. Basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Beat at low speed of an electric mixer until mixture is well blended and smooth. Transfer to a small bowl; set aside.
- 3 Grill chicken over medium coals 8 to 10 minutes on each side, basting frequently with remaining melted margarine or butter mixture.
- Serve grilled chicken with basil-margarine mixture. Garnish with fresh basil sprigs, if desired.
