  • Ingredients:
  • ¾ tsp. Coarsely ground pepper
  • 4 Chicken breast halves, skinned
  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
  • ½ cup margarine or butter, melted
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 Tbs. chopped fresh basil
  • 1 Tbs. Grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • Fresh basil sprigs ( optional )

Directions
  1. 1 Gently press ¾ tsp. Pepper into the meaty sides of the chicken breast halves. Combine 1/3 cup melted margarine or butter and ¼ cup chopped basil; stir well. Brush chicken lightly with melted margarine or butter mixture.
  2. 2 Combine ½ cup softened margarine or butter, 2 Tbs. Basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Beat at low speed of an electric mixer until mixture is well blended and smooth. Transfer to a small bowl; set aside.
  3. 3 Grill chicken over medium coals 8 to 10 minutes on each side, basting frequently with remaining melted margarine or butter mixture.
  4. Serve grilled chicken with basil-margarine mixture. Garnish with fresh basil sprigs, if desired.
