How to make it

  • In large bowl, mix together sugar, butter and egg.
  • Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt; batter will be very stiff.
  • Add diced apples and blend into batter to moisten.
  • Pour into greased 8x8 baking dish.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar generously over top of batter.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes.
  • Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
  • Do not refrigerate.

    I've been trying to find a very low fat cake to make a cinnamon and maybe peach cake SO That I won't be tempted by Krumcakes Rhubarb Bars which I baked for husb. and (really don't want to wear.) I think this is It!! thank you thank you krumkake. 55555555555555555555555
