Mushroom Cream Summer Squash

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 pound summer squash thinly sliced shopping list
- 1/4 pound mushrooms sliced shopping list
- 1/4 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dry white wine shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/8 cup fresh basil strips shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in skillet then add squash and cook 1 minute.
- Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Add cream and nutmeg then simmer 5 minutes.
- Stir in basil and simmer briefly until just wilted.
- Season with salt and pepper then serve immediately.

Same here, we've had an abundance of squash and zucchini from the garden this year. I am glad you all keep posting such nice recipes involving these veggies. Will try to make this tonight for dinner, thanks!

I made this, Chefmeow, and it was very good! Definitely different, and goes well with basil. Would be a great side dish for chicken and meat. I added a picture.
