How to make it

  • Melt butter in skillet then add squash and cook 1 minute.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  • Add cream and nutmeg then simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stir in basil and simmer briefly until just wilted.
  • Season with salt and pepper then serve immediately.

    I made this, Chefmeow, and it was very good! Definitely different, and goes well with basil. Would be a great side dish for chicken and meat. I added a picture.

    Same here, we've had an abundance of squash and zucchini from the garden this year. I am glad you all keep posting such nice recipes involving these veggies. Will try to make this tonight for dinner, thanks!
