Navy Bean Salad Recipe

Navy Bean Salad Recipe
I came up with this after watching someone make a garbanzo bean salad. I don't care much for them except as hummus or felafel(and I am crazy about both of these foods), so I wanted to make something that I thought would work.

Ingredients
  • 1 16oz can of Navy Beans
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parley to garnish

Directions
  1. Cut the vegetables the way you like. I like them finely diced.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans.
  3. Put them with the vegetables in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add the olive oil and vinegar with some salt and pepper and mix again. Add some parley. Put in the fridge for a while or serve immediately. It is great with barbeque.

Thanks, that sounds so tasty and navy beans are high on my list of favorites. I saved it and give you 5 forks.

The ingredients go together nicely. I grew up on a recipe very similar to this, only it was served hot.

Thanks.

This sounds like a refreshing and delicious salad! Thanks for posting!
