how do you find these old recipes??? from across the big pond? wonderful! wish i had more time this morning to read all your recipes - i lived in the uk from 1963 to 1967 and met an old cook who really could...all the talk about the english not knowing how to - went right out of the window. unfortunately, all my old english recipes were left in the us when i left there. and here, i find one of my favourite old desserts - my all-time favourite is english trifle.
    thanks again
