Home Made Herbal Sea Salt Gifts

- 2 cups of coarse sea salt ( no substitute ) shopping list
- 2 cups of assorted fresh herbs shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 2 cups coarse sea salt shopping list
- 1 cup already dried bottled herbs- do not use old ones shopping list
- Citrus peel as desired : fresh or dried such as lemon, lime, orange shopping list
How to make it
- Method one;
- chop your frsh herbs: rosemary, parsley, lavendar, chives , sage or whatever combo you prefer
- Mix in those as you desire into the sea salt
- Spread mixture thinly and evenly in a baking sheet pan
- Bake 225 F until herbs are dried - about 45 minutes and occoasionaly remove pan from oven to stir salt, herb mixture
- Cool Completely
- Place in fodd processor or morter and pestal and grind as desired
- Place in jars, seal air tight
- OR unbaked: remeber salt is a preservative
- mix already dried herbs in sea salt
- If desired grind in food processor
- Store airtight away from direct light
- Note: I make several blends of salt, some for an Italian flare other oreintal to include fennel, cloves, cinnamon, lemon peel etc.
