This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Olsen Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1982. This is tried and true and one we thoroughly enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
Directions
- Mix pie filling, lemon juice and almond flavoring then pour into square pan.
- Melt butter and mix with dry cake mix and walnuts then spread over cherries.
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
