Cream Cheese Danish Recipe
This is kinda like a Pillsbury Cream Cheese Toaster Strudel, only way better!

Ingredients
  • 2 packages Pillsbury Refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 packages (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, separated

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Lay out one package of rolls in bottom of a lightly greased 9x13 pan
  3. Mix together cream cheese, lemon juice,sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk
  4. Spread cheese mixture over layer of crescent rolls
  5. Cover with other package of rolls
  6. Bake @ 350 for 20 minutes
  7. Add 1 t sugar to egg white, mix
  8. When Danish is medium brown, remove from oven and brush with egg mixture
  9. Return to oven and bake about another 8 minutes or so
  10. Cool
  11. Dust with powdered sugar
  12. Variations; Add raisins, nuts, cherries or other fruits to filling

Awesome recipe - my sister makes it - I think she saw it in a Paula Deen recipe book. I could have eaten the whole pan - lol!
