Sausage Bread

This sausage bread can be served as a main dish when paired with soup and salad or as an appetizer. Serving size varies. As a main dish the portions would be larger than if served as an appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough shopping list
- 12 italian sausage, hot or sweet shopping list
- 16 oz mozzarella, shredded shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 5 Tbsp chopped parsley shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped shopping list
- salt and pepper, to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Remove sausage from casing and fry.
- Remove from pan and place in bowl to cool.
- Saute onion and garlic in pan drippings from sausage.
- Add onion and garlic to sausage.
- When everything is cooled, work in eggs and mix in cheese.
- Cut dough in half and roll out the long way.
- Put filling over dough and roll into a horseshoe shape.
- Brush top of dough with egg.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
- When cooled, cut into slices.
