New Group Fungus Amoung Us

    Thank you for forming this new group for mushroom
    Fanatics.
    They are versatile come in many shapes and add complex bold flavors or mild flavors.
    They are steeped in history and folklore, have been known to cure or kill which gives them a mystique and unique value.
    As a culinary point of view I love working with them for endless reasons we will uncover over time.

    I looked at all my recipes so far and realized that I use mushrooms A LOT. They needed a special place here! I look forward to seeing more members and more recipes added :-)

    Do you realise how much we use fungus in cooking. It is not only mushrooms. Also baking powder, yellow cheese, white cheese, pickling, fermenting, and vinegar.

    Have loved Mushrooms my entire life. So much so, that I had to be stopped from eating them while in the Woods. As a child I couldn't understand how the sublime divine cold ever hurt me.
    One of the best Years in my life was the year I was introduced to Chanterelles. Ohh Lah Lahhhhh;)
