drying fresh dill

How do I dry my dill? Don't want it to go bad. Just tie the end and hang upside down?
    Thanks!

I've even just but it in a tall vase and let it dry that way but keep it out of bright light... I love the smell of dill

I cut the some of the tops that went to seed and placed them upside down on a newspaper in the garage for drying the dill seeds. My dill is over 6 feet tall. It is the only thing I have extreme luck w/ so far, but my tomatoes are looking pretty promising this year! The dill seed can be used in salads and cooking too!

My grandmother always had dried dill "hanging around". She cut it into about two feet lengths including the head and tied the bunches together. Then she'd hand it from the ceiling in the enclosed back porch. When she needed some, she'd just go break off what she needed.

hand dill upside down is correct - if you wish for it to keep, yes to keeping the ends in water - but for drying, you want a dry environment. Hanging upside down, allows the 'oil' so to speak and any water (think flavorings) stay at the tips of dills which is what we all here use normally it our cooking.
