I didn't eat these because I am back on Paleo again, but Michael did. I told him to give me and honest rating, and he said 5 stars for sure. All of my butter was frozen and it didn't help that I accidentally bought the huge 2 cup blocks of butter from Sam's instead of the individually wrapped 1/2 cup sticks. The boxes look exactly the same except for very small lettering saying which is which. Anyway, I subbed out oil for the butter. Also I was over half way through my bake time when I realized I forgot to put on the strudel topping!!! Yikes! I did the best I could but the tops were already too cooked for the strudel to bake into the muffins. So that's why it looks like it's just sitting on top. OH well, Michael liked them so I say it's a success :) Will make again for sure, probably for our next Softball or Girl Scout bake sale :)

They look good to me! Your story made me laugh. That's a typical day for me. When something goes wrong right off the bat, it seems like everything else goes wrong after that. They really do look yummy! Glad they were enjoyed and worth making again.

Oh my gosh, those look fantastic, Mommyluvs2cook! Boo on the packages being indentical except for the teeny tiny print saying which is which. I've accidentally bought the pound packages of Land O' Lakes butter with the half sticks instead of the full, and their packages are clearly marked, so what's my excuse? - haha!

Thank you FA :) I doubt you'd ever see the blocks of butter unless you were at a Sam's or other bulk food store for some reason lol. The half sticks are everywhere. I dont like them for some reason!
