    Recipe by Beerotter: Bacon Fatty/saved
Pig out on this dish! Nice Bbq'd oinker.
Would be good for breakfast with some eggs too.
If there were something bad to say about this dish is that folk that like their bacon well done would disagree with the bacon pieces on the bottom. Mother says It'll do!
Couldn't see wasting one whole cup of bbq sauce on the outside when a quarter cup would do. Massaged the rest of the cup into the sausage. Sausage was a little difficult to roll but I managed.
At end of first bake time, roll was only 135F. But after two additional 15 minute bakes with bbq sauce slathered on, internal temp was 165F.
Lots of good combo squeezings from the bacon and sausage. It's a nice clear amber color. Probably from the spices in the sausage.
Used a little more bacon than the recipe called for. Used enough to make a square weave as long as the bacon strips.
Going to make some nice gravy.
Baked the roll on a cooling rack in a lipped cookie sheet.

Don't eat it all at once and you'll be OK.
Impetus for this was I had a cup of Bbq sauce left over from a previous recipe. Did a recipe search by ingredient.
BTW I used a pound of hot and mild sausages each. Guess that overall makes it a medium on the spice scale.

Holy cow, pso. How did you eat this? Just like it is on your plate? I think this looks like it would be good used as a hamburger type thing.

Yep, just like it is. Recipe says it can be used as a sandwich filling.
I keep thinking eggs as I'm eating it.

I think this looks DELICIOUS!! Wow! I can't imagine bacon and Italian sausage together for some reason, I really don't know if I've had the two together LOL! I wonder why he didn't put the nutrition info on it? J/k lol!

I found that I already had this recipe saved. I like "few ingredients" recipes. I'm wondering if this could be rolled over to cook the bacon on the underside or perhaps 1/2 cook the bacon first. I am definitely not a gooshy bacon person.
