Ingredients

How to make it

  • Using 10 slices of bacon, weave a "place-mat".
  • Chop and cook remaining bacon.
  • Remove casings from sausage (if there are any)
  • Place sausage on top of bacon, covering it evenly and completely.
  • Sprinkle cooked bacon bits on top of sausage.
  • Roll sausage (without the "place-mat") into a tube. It should be the width of the place-mat.
  • Roll sausage tube into place-mat.
  • Bake for 2 1/2 hours @ 225, or until interior temp reaches 165 (F).
  • Turn heat to 375 (F) and brush with BBQ. Continue to cook until sauce has caramelized to your taste.
  • Slice and serve.
  • Great on a sandwich.
  • If your arteries still have some flow left in them, we took slices of this the next day, beer battered them and deep fried them. DELICIOUS.
